These animals use to live on the sea coast of New England and Canada. Sea minks were hunted very often by fur hunters because there fur had a lot of money value, the furs and animals itself are brought to fur shops around the world but there was a quick extinction because of it.  The last sea mink caught was taken to a fur market in Jonesport, Maine in 1880.

For centurys, the ferret like animals such as the mink itself, have been hunted for more than just there fur, but there luxerious pellets that also had much much value.
